BWPL & Women’s Capital League 1 Structure for 2020
After extensive consultation followed by a thorough nomination and application process, Football Brisbane can confirm the following structure and composition for the 2020 Brisbane Women’s Premier League and Women’s Capital League 1 competitions. The inclusion of the Gold Coast teams in the Brisbane Women’s Premier League was met with resounding praise from our competing Brisbane Clubs and the footballing community and thus, Football Brisbane is pleased to confirm these clubs will continue competing in the Brisbane Women’s Premier League. This exemplifies the growth and support of women’s football in our region. After a highly successful Women’s Capital League 1 season in 2019, all new nominations have confirmed they will fulfill the mandatory requirement of a first and reserve team for 2020.
The competition will also expand to 12 teams aligning with the Brisbane Women’s Premier League.
