Five Brisbane Clubs Approved Grants In Latest Funding Announcement
Five Football Brisbane clubs are among fifteen football clubs across the state to have been approved grants in the latest round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund, receiving a total of $174,816 between them. Providing around $55 million per year within Queensland, The Gambling Community Benefit fund allocates grants to not-for-profit community groups, to enhance their capacity to provide services, leisure activities and opportunities within their local communities. The five successful Football Brisbane clubs are:
Logan Roos Football Club - $34,927
Mt Gravatt Hawks Soccer Club - $35,000
Taringa Rovers Soccer Football Club - $35,000
Teviot Downs Soccer Club - $34,889
The Gap Football Club - $35,000
With the work of Football QLD/Football Brisbane Infrastructure and Government Relations officers David O'leary and Phil Reeves, clubs are able to receive assistance and guidance when lodging grant applications. The next round for the Gambling Community Benefit (Round 102), which provides grants of $500 to $35,000, will open mid-July and will close at 11.59pm on 31 August 2019.
