Elaine Watson Cup RD2 Draw
The last 16 of the Elaine Watson Cup was drawn recently with two Women's Capital League 1 sides guaranteed a berth into the quarter finals. North Star and Albany Creek will face each other in a northside derby whilst either one of Southside Eagles and Toowong will also be in the quarter final draw after this next round of ties. Cup holders Peninsula Power host Gold Coast side Coomera FC having already seen off another side from the glitter strip in Southport. Mt Franklin Brisbane Women's Premier League leaders UQFC will fancy their chances of progressing against struggling Ipswich City whilst two other all MFBWPL ties will see The Lakes FC as odds-on favourites to see off basement dwellers North Brisbane and Robina City face a tough test at home to Annerley. All 8 ties are scheduled to be played week beginning 10 June.
