South East Queensland Qualifying Zone Round 2
Friday evening sees the 2019 FFA Cup get underway in Brisbane with a new look qualifying process that has Football Brisbane clubs competing in a South East Queensland Qualifying Zone along with Sunshine Coast Football, Football South West and Football Gold Coast sides. The recent draw didn't see as many interzone ties as many would have hoped but we still have a handful of intriguing clashes coming up between sides from the different regions, with perhaps the pick of them being Brisbane Men's Premier League side Taringa Rovers at home to Sunshine Coast Premier League side Woombye. Just two Brisbane sides will be hitting the road this round with Vilic Law Capital League 1 side Virginia Utd heading to Coomera, whilst Logan Roos from Vilic Law Capital League 3 will also be heading to the glitter strip with an away tie at Robina City. 29 teams went through to Round 3 courtesy of byes whilst Ipswich City have been given free passage to the next round following the forfeit of Toowoomba side West Wanderers, leaving the following 20 ties to determine who will go into the Round 3 draw of 50 teams.
