Football Brisbane Retains President's Challenge Cup
Following the wash out of the Men's and Women's Select Team games recently, Mt Franklin Brisbane Women's Premier League Select Team coaches Anthony Costa and Jordan Leatherdale banded together and arranged for the Women's Select Team to play their game against the Sunshine Coast Football Women's All Stars at Maroochydore Football Club on Sunday evening. The girls in blue ran out 4-3 winners courtesy of goals from Laura Blue, Brit Whitfield and two penalties from Louise Lloyd-Jones as they edged out the home side. With the Flight Centre Brisbane Premier League Select Team game against Sunshine Coast Football unable to be rescheduled, it means Football Brisbane retain the trophy they've won on each of the previous three occasions. The MFBWPL Women's Select Team squad for Sunday's game was made up of the following players.
