Nominations For Directors Of Football Brisbane Ltd
On Wednesday 28 November 2018, Football Brisbane Ltd will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM).
As per its Constitution, one-third of the current Elected Directors must retire from office which constitutes two (2) of the current Elected Directors. The retired Directors are eligible for re-election to the Football Brisbane Board.
Nominations are sought from interested persons in being a Director of Football Brisbane Ltd.
Elected Directors hold office for a term of three (3) years. To nominate as a Director, the following requirements must be met:
A person does not have to be a member of a club to be nominated;
Nominations must be in writing;
A person must be nominated by a proposer whom is a current Football Brisbane Director or a Football Brisbane club executive;
A current Football Brisbane Director or Football Brisbane club executive must also second the nomination (seconder);
The nomination must be signed by both the proposer and the seconder;
Nominations must:
• Be accompanied by a statutory declaration made by the nominee confirming that:
> To the best of his or her knowledge and belief, he or she has not been involved in any activities which could materially interfere with his or her ability to act in the best interests of Football Brisbane Ltd; > To the best of his or her knowledge and belief, he or she are free from any interest or relationship which could materially interfere with his or her ability to act in the best interests of Football Brisbane Ltd; and
• Provide full details of any Disqualifying Position that the nominee holds (a position as an employee of Football Brisbane Ltd or of Football QLD), for nominatrion as an appointed Director of Football Brisbane Ltd or filling a casual vacancy as a Director of Football Brisbane Ltd.
