Elaine Watson Cup Semi-Finals
It will be an all Mt Franklin Brisbane Women's Premier League affair in the Semi-Finals of the Elaine Watson Cup following Thursday's draw. League leaders Annerley will travel to James Drysdale Reserve where they will face Pine Hills. Coach Anthony Costa's Annerley side have already enjoyed success over their semi-final rivals in the league with two wins from their previous meetings. It will prove to be a stiff test for Hills and many pundits will consider it pretty difficult seeing them stop Annerley from reaching September's final. The other semi-final will pit current cup holders Peninsula Power at home to Virginia Utd. These two sides met last weekend in the league with Virginia running out 3-1 winners. Their previous league meeting went in Power's favour so it will certainly be a close match-up between the two who currently reside mid-table in the Mt Franklin Brisbane Women's Premier League.
