Pig 'N' Whistle Continue Sponsorship Of The Canale Cup
We are pleased to announce that the Canale Cup will again be supported by our venue partner Pig 'N' Whistle Riverside. Brisbane's premier men's cup competition, won by Peninsula Power in 2017 following a 2-1 success over Rochedale Rovers, will feature all 47 teams from the Flight Centre Brisbane Premier League and Brisbane Capital Leagues in 2018.

Football Brisbane General Manager Craig Morris was excited by the continuation of Pig 'N' Whistle's partnership with the organisation, "Pig 'N' Whistle Riverside has been fantastic with their support for Football Brisbane and of football in general." He added, "They will again be hosting our upcoming season launch which sees all of our men's and women's premier league clubs come together, mingle and network in eager anticipation for the upcoming start of the season. "Their support of the Pig 'N' Whistle Canale Cup also provides the competition with a unique identity and we're sure this season's competition will yet again be highly competitive." Rounds will be drawn following the completion of each FFA Cup round with the losing teams from that competition entered into the draw for the proceeding Pig 'N' Whistle Canale Cup rounds. Round 1 will commence early April with the 19 losing teams from Brisbane Zone Round 2 of the FFA Cup to be drawn. One side will receive a bye in that Round 1 draw.
