Brisbane Phoenix To Withdraw From Football Brisbane

Brisbane Phoenix has advised Football Brisbane that they will be withdrawing from all 2018 competitions, including both senior and junior divisions. In regards to the Capital League 1 competition that Brisbane Phoenix were set to compete in next season, their withdrawal has triggered a vacancy in this league.
Under the ranking system established at the end of the 2017 season to account for changes to Football Brisbane competition structures as a result of the expanded PlayStation4 NPL and introduction of the FQPL; means that Pine Rivers United will enter Capital League 1.
This also impacts on Narangba United who were originally ranked in Capital League 3 but will take up Pine Rivers United’s vacancy in the 2018 Capital League 2. Finally, the Capital League 3 competition will now comprise of the following clubs which also includes both new and returning clubs to the Capital Leagues competition in 2018.
