Peninsula Power To Compete In Brisbane Women's Premier League
After the recent announcement by Peninsula Power of their withdrawal from the PlayStation4 NPL Women’s competition for 2018 and after consultation with Football Brisbane, it has been decided that Peninsula Power will now compete in next season’s Brisbane Women’s Premier League competition. This decision also coincided with Caboolture Sports FC confirming that they would be unable to field teams in the restructured Brisbane Women’s Premier League, citing their concerns over player numbers and the likelihood of being unable to field a reserve side within the competition. The Brisbane Women’s Premier League will still comprise of eight teams consisting of:
Annerley
Pine Hills
Virginia United
North Pine
UQFC
Holland Park Hawks
Park Ridge
Peninsula Power
Caboolture will revert to competing in the Women’s Capital League competition in which they finished 5th this season.
