Clarification - FB Senior Men's Competitions 2018
Dear Members,
Earlier this afternoon an announcement regarding the structure of the Football Brisbane senior men’s competitions for the 2018 season was sent out to clubs, and a media release was posted via our social media channels.
This document was sent in error by the administration staff of Football Brisbane and had not been ratified by the board of directors.
The information contained in this document was not accurate and decisions regarding these structures are still in the discussion phase - no final decisions have been made.
Furthermore, despite being sent in the name of our President, Brendon Boss, Brendon was unaware that his name was going to be placed on the document and did not authorise its release.
The board of Football Brisbane will continue to seek feedback and liaise with stakeholders to ensure that all implications of these decisions have been considered.
As the General Manager, I take full responsibility for this oversight and the actions of our staff, and sincerely apologise for the unnecessary anguish that has caused our clubs.
Football Brisbane will be working to have an announcement to be released on July 31.
