Mt Franklin Continues Commitment To Women’s Football
Coca-Cola Amatil, through their Mt Franklin Water brand, has renewed their commitment to women’s football in confirming an extension of their partnership with Football Brisbane for 2017. This will see Mt Franklin continue as naming rights sponsor for the Mt Franklin Women’s Premier League for the upcoming season after commencing this relationship in 2016. “We welcome the ongoing support from Coca-Cola Amatil who have been a fantastic supporter and partner of Football Brisbane since coming on board at the start of last season. It also continues Coca-Cola Amatil’s support through football of all levels including their ongoing relationship with the Brisbane Roar,” said Football Brisbane General Manager, Craig Morris. “The recent boom of coverage of women’s sport over the past couple of years has also generated a significant spike in females becoming involved in the game whether as a player, coach, referee or volunteer. We’ve also listened to the feedback of women’s football stakeholders and the extension of this partnership will allow us to provide greater media coverage of the Mt Franklin Women’s Premier League including the broadcast of at least one match from each round via FBTV.” Morris concluded. The announcement also coincides with some exciting initiatives in relation to a Football Brisbane rewards program that will be put in place shortly. This will include discounted Coca-Cola product pricing and access to Brisbane Roar rewards for those clubs who purchase directly from Coca-Cola Amatil. The league logo has also been updated for 2017 in line with Football Brisbane re-branding as part of its 10th anniversary. The updated logo incorporates a green star in recognition of Mitchelton being the reigning Champions of the competition. The Mt Franklin Women’s Premier League kicks off this weekend, coinciding with Female Football Week. As part of this celebration, Football Brisbane will be filming four of the five scheduled opening round matches.
