Football Brisbane’s General Manager Craig Morris said of the new partnership, “This is a really exciting announcement. Red Lion Football has shown their commitment to the development of players via the tours they conduct. Their willingness to be involved in junior football at the elite level in Brisbane is a perfect fit for our Super Youth League.” “As in in previous years, this partnership will also allow our young footballers to to be showcased via FB Media, something that has been really well received by the clubs who have been involved with these over the past couple seasons.” Red Lion Football Director, Mark Acaster commented, “We’re passionate about young players improving as they progress through their football career. We believe this partnership with Football Brisbane will well and truly address that goal as well as providing the perfect outlet in which to promote our apparel range.” As part of the partnership, Red Lion Football will provide Nike match balls to each competing SYL club. The company will also be the supplier of apparel for Football Brisbane’s Spain tour taking place in the June/July school holidays and under the Nike brand, outfit Football Brisbane staff in polo uniforms. The Red Lion Football Super Youth League kicked off last weekend with teams from under 12 to under 16 competing in the competition. Football Brisbane thanks previous SYL naming rights sponsor, FC11, for their assistance over previous years. The organisation has decided to re-focus their partnerships and Football Brisbane will continue to work with them to find alternate opportunities going forward.
