McDonald’s Brisbane Renews Ties With Football Brisbane
Long-time partner McDonald’s Brisbane has renewed their relationship with Football Brisbane for a further two years. McDonald’s has switched from their previous focus on referees and will now become the naming rights sponsor of our junior divisional leagues, to be known as the McDonald’s Football Brisbane Juniors. Speaking on the announcement, Football Brisbane’s General Manager Craig Morris said, “We’re delighted to have McDonald’s remain in our Football Brisbane family and continue our long-established relationship with them."
He added, "Having such a big brand as McDonald’s interested and so keen to be involved in grassroots football is a massive tick in indicating the confidence our partners have in Football Brisbane. To be involved with Australia’s largest football zone in terms of player numbers is an exciting way for McDonald’s to provide back to the community.” As part of the deal, several exciting initiatives will take place through the year. A McDonald’s Player of the Week will be introduced, as well as recognition of the unsung heroes that donate their time and effort in order to keep their clubs running all year round. Further details will be announced as the season progresses. McDonald’s will also have naming rights to the McDonald’s Football Brisbane Juniors Finals Series, while Ronald McDonald House Charities will become the Official Charity of Football Brisbane. The McDonald’s Juniors competitions kicks off this weekend as Division One teams in under 13 to 16 begin their 2017 campaigns.
