FCPL, CL1, CL2 & MFWPL Fixtures Published

The draw for the Flight Centre Premier League, Capital League 1, Capital League 2 and the Mt Franklin Women’s Premier League have been published for 2017. The first round of the Flight Centre Premier League will open with promoted side Grange Thistle facing local rivals and 2016 runners-up Mitchelton FC at Lanham Park. The game will also be an FB Media TV feature for what should pose as an intriguing encounter to get the season underway. Fellow promoted side Souths United also start their 2017 campaign with a home game with Rochedale Rovers the visitors to Wakerley Park. In the other games, Eastern Suburbs will face Logan FC whilst Warren Moon’s Lions FC will begin their title defence at AJ Kelly Park, the venue for their last success of 2016 with their Grand Final victory over Mitchelton, as they face Peninsula Power. Ipswich Knights new era under Graham Ross and Danny Wilson’s coaching guidance will begin at home to Albany Creek. Holland Park Hawks will round out the opening weekend of fixtures as they begin a new era without ex-coach Ben Ryan, with new coach Anth Smith taking over at Whites Hill Reserve with Capalaba the visitors. In the Mt Franklin Women’s Premier League which will open a month later in the middle of March, defending champions Mitchelton FC will opening their season at home to Peninsula Power. Newly promoted side Virginia United will enjoy home advantage as Eastern Suburbs look to give the newcomers a stern test. It will be a far tougher ask for fellow promoted side Moggill FC who must head to 2016 League, Elaine Watson Cup and Grand Final runners-up Annerley who will be looking to get their season of to a flier and go one better than in 2016. Logan FC host Capalaba and The Gap host Pine Hills in the other two remaining opening round games. The fixture are now available on the Football Brisbane website HERE.
